    Family Class Sponsorship ​ Spousal Your spouse may be eligible to immigrate to Canada as permanent residents.If you are a citizen or permanent resident of Canada, you may be able to sponsor your spouse to become a permanent resident under the Family Class. Spousal Sponsorship Requirements: Sponsorship is a big commitment, so you must take this obligation seriously You may be eligible to be a sponsor if you ​ ​ You are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada. You are 18 or older. You can sponsor a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, or child who lives outside Canada under the Family Class. You can sponsor a spouse or common-law partner who lives in Canada under the Spouse and Common-Law Partner in Canada Class. All individuals being sponsored must meet the eligibility requirements. Sponsoring your same-sex partner as a spouse You can apply to sponsor your same-sex partner as a spouse if you: ​ are a citizen or permanent resident of Canada and were married in Canada and issued a marriage certificate by a Canadian province or territory ​ If you were married outside Canada, you may apply to sponsor your same-sex partner as a spouse as long as the marriage is legally recognized according to both the law of the place where the marriage occurred and under Canadian law.It is your responsibility to provide information to CIC confirming that your same-sex-marriage was legally recognized when and where it occurred. Common-law partner You are a common-law partner either of the opposite sex or the same sex if you have been living together in a conjugal relationship for at least one year in an ongoing 12-month period (you are allowed short absences for business travel or family reasons).You will need proof that you and your common-law partner have combined your affairs and set up a household together. Conjugal partner This category is for partner either of the opposite sex or same sex in situations beyond their control that keep them from living together so they would count as common-law partners or spouses. Ontario Express Entry; Human Capital Priorities Stream ​ Stream enables the OINP to nominate individuals who are eligible to enter the federal Express Entry pool and who have the required education, skilled work experience, language ability, and other characteristics to help them successfully establish and integrate into Ontario 's labour market and communities. ​ To be considered under this stream, candidates must qualify for the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada's (IRCC) federal Express Entry pool. Candidates may not apply directly to this stream. Instead, they must first receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) from the OINP based on their Express Entry profile. ​ The OINP searches the Express Entry pool and identifies potential candidates who; Have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in Express Entry System, and Meet the criteria of Ontario's Human Capital Priorities Stream (see below). ​ ​ Candidates identified by the OINP will receive an NOI, which will invite them to apply to the OINP for nomination under the Human Capital Priorities Stream. From this point, selected candidates have 45 days to apply to the OINP under this stream. If their application is approved, candidates will be notified of their nomination by the OINP, which they can accept and use to apply to IRCC for permanent residence. ​ Minimum Eligibility Requirements ​ To be eligible under the Ontario Human Capital Priorities Stream, candidates must; ​ Meet the eligibility requirements for one of the Canada’s Federal Skilled programs; Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC); To apply under FSWP, candidate must meet passing mark of 67 points based on selection factors; language skills, education, work experience, age, arranged employment in Canada and adaptability. Have a minimum CRS score under either the FSWP or CEC. Have a minimum level of work experience. Candidates who choose to be assessed against the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) criteria must have at least one year of continuous and full-time employment experience, or part-time equivalent, in a National Occupation Classification (NOC) level 0, A, or B occupation in the five years prior to the date of the NOI from the OINP. Candidates who choose to be assessed against the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) criteria must have at least one year of cumulative and full-time employment experience, or part-time equivalent, in a NOC 0, A, or B occupation in Canada in the three years prior to the date of the NOI from the OINP. Have a Canadian Bachelor's, Master 's or PhD degree OR an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report produced by a designated organization indicating that their foreign education credential is equivalent to a Canadian Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD Demonstrate a language proficiency level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 or above in all four competencies (speaking, reading, writing, and listening); Language proficiency must be proved by test results from one of the designated testing agencies only. Intend to reside in Ontario, as demonstrated by a statement of intent and indication of ties to Ontario; Possess sufficient funds to cover settlement costs in Ontario.     STUDY PERMIT Every year more than 100,000 international students come to Canada to study. A Study Permit is a document issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC, formerly known as CIC) that allows a foreign national to study in Canada for a limited time. Most international students will require a Study Permit to study in Canada. STUDY PERMIT Eligibility criteria In order to be eligible to submit an application for a Canadian study permit, a prospective student must: ​ Obtain a Letter of Acceptance from a Designated Learning Institution in order to submit an application for a study permit; Prove that he or she has enough money to cover the first year of tuition, as well as living expenses and return transportation to his or her home country; Obtain a Certificatd'acceptation du Quebec (Quebec Acceptance Certificate, or CAQ) if he or she wishes to study in Montreal or elsewhere in the Province of Quebec; Have clean record. Applicants with a criminal background, or who pose a risk to Canadian security, may be refused. IRCC may request an applicant to supply a Police Clearance Certificate; Be in good health. IRCC may request an applicant to complete a medical examination; and, Satisfy the immigration officer that he or she will leave Canada at the end of the stay authorized by the study permit. The applicant may also be required to submit the following documents : ​ Passport for the applicant and every family member included on the application; Two passport photos for the applicant and each family member included on the application, with the name and date of birth written on the back; Photocopy of marriage certificate, if applicable; and, Any further documents required by specific visa offices.
